Message From the Senior Pastor

Restoration Church Of Steubenville
Who Are We?
What Do We Do?
Where Are We?
We are a Christian Church filled with ordinary people whose lives have been changed by extraordinary grace. Each one of us has a story of redemption, mercy, forgiveness, and love. We used to be the little, the lost, the lonely, and the left-out – but now we are part of the family of God, trusting in Him and helping each other the best we can. We would love to share with you the same love and fellowship that we have discovered in serving Jesus Christ together.

We have no fancy programs or sophisticated strategies. We simply love the Lord, love His wonderful Word, and love sharing those experiences with one another. We sing together, pray together, fellowship together, grow together, laugh together, cry together, forgive each other, and serve each other – and we do it all by the grace of God.

We are really delighted by the fact that our facility is on top of a hill. Our desire is to be what Jesus spoke of in Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” The LIGHT IS ON in our house – and we would love to see you come in and stay for a while!

Biography of Senior Pastor Gary C. Lilly

Pastor Gary C. Lilly was raised in a Christian home and gave his heart to the Lord at the age of eight. Taught by his parents and grandparents to love and obey the Word of God; Gary grew up loving church and especially loved gospel music. Three services a week plus youth meetings and summer camps helped Gary to learn how to serve and work for the Lord.

Gary began preaching while attending a Christian college and served as a chaplain in a local county jail. He began full-time pastoral ministry in 1970 and has since served churches in Florida, Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia. In addition to his pastoral ministry, he has aided in helping run community organizations and currently serves on the Board of Directors of a faith-based drug rehabilitation ministry, as well as a local community senior center.

Pastor Gary is also a prolific writer of Christian drama, poetry, and devotions for believers going through tough times, and wrote a column in a newspaper for nearly 12 years.

Gary and his precious wife, Pamela, would love to share how God’s grace brought them together to serve Him with peace, joy, and hope. They have had the privilege of having several people who needed love and stability live in their homes for extended periods of time.

Pastor Gary’s message to everyone is: Jesus Christ is rich in mercy, and His grace keeps hope alive when you obey His Word.

Ministry Journey of Pastor Tony and Sister Linda Nicosia

Pastor Tony and his family have been attending Restoration Church for almost 20 years. He has raised four sons, whom he adopted at an early age, and all of whom are serving the Lord, Restoration Church, and their community.

After the personal hardship of losing his first wife to cancer, the Lord worked a divine miracle and allowed Pastor Tony and Sister Linda Hohenshil to fall in love. They have been married since June 11, 2016.

Pastor Tony gave his heart to the Lord in 1973, at the age of seven, under Pastor Gary Lilly’s ministry on Estelle Ave. in Steubenville, OH. Over the years, he has served the Lord in numerous capacities, including Sunday School teacher, youth pastor, Christian education director, drummer in praise bands, deacon, and elder in Santa Rosa, CA, Weirton, WV, and most recently Steubenville, OH.

Sister Linda chose to truly give her life to the Lord in 1988 while living in Blacksburg, VA. Her mother, Barbara, was very instrumental in Linda’s choice for Christ as Linda witnessed the tremendous importance prayer and Bible study had on her. Linda has been an active church member since her conversion and has taught both Sunday School and in schools in Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio. She has participated in many youth functions and enjoys playing the piano in a variety of church settings.
